Writing
“Well, the secret to writing is writing. It’s only a secret to people who don’t want to hear it. Writing is how you be a writer.”
Ursula K. LeGuin
I am writing a novel for middle-grade readers about garden gnomes who live in the hidden green spaces in an The Unimportant City. It’s a book within a book. The Gnominomicon is an ancient tome of gnome wisdom. But it’s under attack by trolls, and the main character must save The Gnominomicon.
WORK IN PROGRESS

My head is populated with little garden gnomes and their outsized wisdom. I am on draft… wow. I couldn’t say. But I will finish this novel someday.

My philosophy on creative writing is that stories will show up if you make space for them. Like any creature, they need safe homes to thrive and grow.
